Stuck in a perpetual state of half interested in various things. Did you choose a drake from the quest? User Info: pegusus I deeded to some gay porn. It doesn't mean anything. User Info: bambobo. Pretty close. There is a quest in the camp, do it and you will get transported to Shattrath, where there are those nether drakes in a circle.
Here you will get to choose which drake you want. After your initial free one, you will have to go back to the Dragonmaw camp, as where you ahve been transported to is not the vendor, the vendor is located near the blacksmith in Dmaw camp IIRC. The above comment does not affect your statutory rights. Thanks guys. I didn't do the quest where you have to talk to Illidan. It took me 10 days worth of questing and dailys to hit exalted.
That is how I grinded the last 2k or so on day Tons of Netherweave Cloth to be had from the dailys. If you are a miner like I was, you are going to have a super-easy time. I did this grind on my skinner and it significantly longer to gather the Nethermine Flayer Hide every day. Nethercite Ore is in abundance in the area. And for you mount-hoarders, this is a pretty easy way to add 6 mounts to your collection. And honestly, I think they're some of the best looking mounts in the game.
Thanks and happy grinding! Comment by Im not sure if anyone knows this yet, but you can currently get exalted with netherwing in 1 day. Untill unfix atleast. Comment by Evidently I'm not allowed to farm Netherwing rep. I did the first quests, and I got the Riding skill, and can not continue.
What the heck did I do? Comment by PLS help me. I did all quests Mordenai gave me and I i got friendly rep with them. Im Draenei Dk btw. Comment by Apash This is the only daily hub zone i find interesting, and it never gets boring nor repetitive. With enough coffee, munchies, and patience, you too can lack a life. But seriously. I ground out eggs for 11 hours, took a small nap, then ground out for about another 5 hours and I was there.
Don't forget to do your dailies for them, and do the regular quests as well Soul Cannon, booterang, Skybreaker Races, etc. On my server, it was nearly deserted for the better part of the time, save for a couple hordies and a few level 84 alliance who were flagged and trying to farm eggs.
Easy honor is easy. The dailies you start with give the same rep as eggs -- without an increase, with. However, the FIRST dailies you get remain giving or , as will the friendly dailies, honored dailies, etc.
The given rep that you receive does not change with your rank. Happy hunting : -Shamethesham. Before Ally of the netherwing you need to do group quest called Zuluhed the Whacked when you have to kill Zuluhed the Whacked with about 85k hp. Comment by When exalted and got the first drake, buy the 5 other drakes of Drake Dealer Hurlunk in Shadowmoon Valley. Per now, g each. Where You did all the dailies to be exalted:P. Comment by Well I decided to do this on my 80 rogue. Comment by Grubitsch If you look at your drake's shadow on the ground you can see it looks rather beat up.
The wings are torn and so is the fin on the end of its tail. Comment by Pinkiepieisfly Just in case twinks are wondering I got from neutral to exalted in three days on my level 70 Retribution Paladin, on a PvP server. So yes, that's possible, and it's quite easy. That's not to brag, but to be informative. Beginning quests : You can fetch the very first quest, Kindness , from Mordenai. Although you can start on the quests, you will need epic flying to continue them.
For the group quest, I hid quietly while my level 85 friend did it, and I got credit for the whole thing. So no, you don't have to loot the boss for the key , so long as you're in a party with whomever is doing it. In the mine, I was able to pull large groups of mobs and kill them without dying. Always loot the corpses in the mine. It's rare, but they do drop a Netherwing Egg occasionally.
Eggs can spawn anywhere; Inside the carts, on the ground on the lower level, behind the mobs on the upper level, etc. Sometimes I got three eggs in a run, sometimes I got eight.
Dragonmaw Fortress : An egg will spawn inside the pen with the netherwing whelps, behind a drake inside the drake pen, inside the cart near the entrance to the fortress, and eggs can spawn inside buildings, and behind them.
Be thorough and check every place there, especially if you have competition. Every egg counts! Which was as weird as finding rams on the top of mountains in other zones. Egg spawn rates : Come the second time I did this, I was extremely impatient and would check for eggs every hour or so. A few did, in fact, re-spawn. Now, this isn't to suggest that they respawn incredibly fast, but you can get lucky with it. It never hurts to re-check the areas. So be aware!
If you log out while disguised as a Dragonmaw in their areas : You'll see that their names become Red. They're not hostile, and they don't attack you if you go up to them.
Unfortunately, you do have to leave the area and re-enter to interact with them again. Afterwards , when you become exalted, the rest is easy. You'll get one free Netherwing drake of your choice, via a quest in Shattrath City. There are six different colored Netherwing drakes: Azure teal , Cobalt royal blue , Onyx black , Veridian dark green , Purple, and Violet this has a pink horn!
Remember that in order to buy the rest, you have to fly all the way back to the base at Netherwing Edge and talk to the "Drake Dealer" NPC there. Contradicting the final quest out of there, you won't get attacked to go back and buy some pretty drakes.
Whatever works. Comment by Shanaelae For those that have not done most quest but plan on it: I am exalted with Netherwing and because of such could not complete this quest in Blades Edge. Comment by Rezler it's a really annoying grind but still it's pretty easy now because of the so few people that do them so you get like eggs per day.
Comment by Elarink It says that they start with 0 reputation, but you cant actually see reputation with them until you complete the first quests. Comment by Stigma I highly recommend bringing your Blessed Medallion of Karabor when starting out with this faction.
Comment by This i used about 3 or 4 days from start to exalted. And i didnt farm much, Ive done the daily quest every day and probably done egg hunts a day.
If you farm the eggs hardcore all day long and do the daily quests, I would guess you can easily do it in 2 days. I also recommend downloading the Gathermate2 and Gathermate2 Data addon. This addon will show you many many egg locations on your mini map, wich is very useful.
Alos the mine is a huge egg resource. Comment by robuls13 The mines are a pretty good place to find Netherwing Eggs for one of the quests, find eggs everytime i go inn there. Comment by theorcofdead there was a bug Comment by Amberstyne I found that i went from Revered to Exhalted within 5 days because i spent ages just hunting at least 12 eggs a day and ensuring i did not miss a quest! Eggs may be hidden however Gatherer HUD has them all on there for you to browse!
Comment by Ok.. I am having two problems with the Netherwing quests I get a sword icon and their name is in red but I can't even attack them Comment by I finished the quest chain that starts with Kindness and got exalted with netherwing and I went to Shattrath to choose my mount but all I get is "Greetings Traveler" and i don't get to choose my netherwing drake.
Why can't I get my netherwing drake? Comment by Zaratha I've noticed an extremely odd bug as of patch 5. My usual flying mount of choice is the Sunreaver Dragonhawk, and I first noticed this bug after leaving the ledge, when the disguise dropped off I was put on an Ironbound Proto-Drake. I suspect it may have something to do with the new account-wide mount system that was implemented with this patch. Comment by Due to cross-realm zones introduced in patch 5.
As I started farming rep for Netherwing after this patch, I have found that in the amount of time I spend specifically looking for an egg, I could have finished all of the dailies there. In short, while CRZ's are in effect, it is my opinion that your time is better spent doing the dailies, and if you stumble upon an egg, consider it a bonus.
Comment by artifactex as i finished my long journey to exalted. Comment by Memoryk Just dinged Exalted! All that hard work payed out. I recommend you to collect the eggs :. Comment by Actic Just got to exalted after almost one week with about 20 eggs found. I logged on very late and very early but there was always people there flying around looking for eggs. This combined with a two hour respawn time on the eggs makes them less attractive to farm if you consider how much time you need to put in.
My recommendation is just do the dailes every day and if you find an egg, be happy and see it as a bonus. At revered when I did all the dailies i got about 3. Good luck to all. Comment by Bramikar I got exalted in about 2 weeks.
I just farmed the netherwing egg along with the dailies. My very first time in the cave landed 5 eggs. Sometimes you get more and then some less. They are highly saught after. My last time in the cave landed 9! They also drop from the slim and the flayers, but it's a rare drop. Comment by fjottrik Hey, i have a problem, i can't get any reputation from the quest's and i cant find the reputation bar in my reputation's!
If someone know why i do not get any Reputation, please tell me! Moving out of the zone and then flying back in on some other mount will fix this! Comment by Deactivated Who wouldn't want an as a mount? Qtd in: Link. Comment by Hashiclif When you hit exalted you can take a quest where the orc commander will summon illidan who will realize who you are and stun you.
After a while he will leave and command the orcs to kill you. A nether dragon will take you and fly you to shattrah so be patient it will take a while to fly you there Once you land you get to pick a nether drake but you can go back to a quartermaster in shadowmoon valley with orc disguise and buy the others for g each. It took me one week to get exalted. I was doing the daillies ang gathered around eggs per day.
If you want you can be faster and farm for the eggs recommended for low servers Happy farming! Comment by This is fun and easy rep to farm. I had two characters during BC that I should have farmed this rep on, but at 90, its a cakewalk. Human and guild rep gain bonuses come in handy. Usually skip him in a Kara run, but went back today and looted 3 from him. This is a must-kill if you need extra rep, well worth a Kara run by itself. Still most of Revered to go threw, but this stuff is easymode.
Well worth it for these beautiful drake mounts. Should have started this ages ago is my only complaint. Comment by XxSXBxX So for those of you who used to grind this in a previous expansion, or as a seperate faction and no logner get transformed into a Fel Orc I found a fix to this. The first quest chain you get, before you start working on the rep, it will reset you somewhere along those lines.
That chain includes 3 people you need to talk to overall 1. Mordenai 2. Neltharaku 3. Karynaku I recommend you go back, and check each of these people. One will give you the quest chain to continue, for me it was Karynaku on the final quest of the chain "Zuluhed the Whacked" and doing this we have one massive advantage that is considered an exploit. This immediately jumped me from Honored all the way to Exalted.
I don't know when this will be patched since I couldn't find anything with the same information. Although I hope this helps for everyone here, and enjoy your new Netherwing for everyone who gets this far! Comment by crombolim I don't know if it is an area bug, an orc bug or a shaman bug but sometimes when I tried to do the daily quests all npcs was hostile to me.
When I was fighting with an unfriendly player I used my ghost wolf ability and I notice that the npc's was friendly again. I reproduced it few times after and I got the same behaviour. If you are a shammy and your npc's are hostile, just use your ghost wolf ability and you'll be able to do the quests. Comment by necrosisss This is a really easy rep grind at Best thing to do is just leave a character on Netherwing ledge, saves you time travelling.
Don't farm eggs, they have a couple of hour respawn time and with the amount of people farming currently there really isn't much point. Have a quick scout of the area and pick up any eggs you see, and then rinse and repeat whenever you get ten minutes. I recommend 2 get it 4 anyone. Comment by For the skinners out there, do note that even though the quest object's name is Nethermine Flayer Hide it can be skinned from every beast on the Netherwing Ledge except for the nether rays.
Comment by yesiamzack Just wanted to throw a post 6. Grinding Netherwing has become quite popular again at least on Burning Legion , so hunting eggs is a little less productive as it used to be. Back to doing all the dailies everyday Happy grinding!
Comment by cUnAzeroth Instead of doing the rep quests at level 70 minimum , I recommend that you wait until: 1 - You have learned Master Riding.
This requires at least level There are several "flying quests" in Netherwing that the added speed will definitely help with. At level 80 very doable. You may turn in as many of these eggs that you want to Yarzill the Merc once you are running the Netherwing quests.
The eggs are not tied to a daily quest, so the more you have the better. Once you do this you can then farm rep with Netherwing with a leg up. If you want to get the most 'bang for your buck' wait until it is the week of the Darkmoon Faire. Remember to ride it long enough to get the full 60 minutes buff.
Use your hearthstone to go back to Shadowmoon Valley or Shattrath City and then head on over to Mordenai to begin your farming of Netherwing rep for the next hour. You can get the buff as many times as you want during the week of the Darkmoon Faire. Comment by Thoridalin Trying to get the mount with my level hunter, couldn't even get reputation with the faction, it doesn't show up at all Mordenai gives me the first quest as a low level but that's it.
Any suggestions? Comment by thinksammich Possible to grind this out in under 10 hours if you stick at it collecting eggs. Completely possible to do in one day, if you are interested in this mini-journey, make sure you start at a time where daily quests will reset once during your grind, just for the extra reputation. Look up some addons for group management and fast CRZ swapping, the eggs are just out there waiting for you, especially on some of the lower population servers.
Comment by Tomtetass If you have gained exalted reputation on one character and then chose one of the drakes, Is it possible to buy the other mounts after that? And if you can, where you buy them? I really hope that you can buy them because I'd rather not go through that again haha.. Comment by mosstone Hmm what does this 'at war' button do? The description text on the respective web pages says it all. More spawn locations than you'll find elsewhere, Mine and Ledge locations are not confused together on the World Map, customisable icons and icon sizes, detailed Tooltip for all author confirmed locations, no reliance on other AddOns so lean and clean, etc.
Comment by Tyar As of 7. What you want to do is create a group of 5 people and farm just the upper ledge of the mines. You will be killing mostly flayers and a few pulls of crazed miners at the bottom, but since everyone can loot everything everyone in your group kills, you get to loot a LOT of bodies.
My best 30 minutes I found 17 eggs, one guy in our group found 20 in his best 30 min. I also had times where I had 1 egg drop over 30 minutes. You can however do some of the prequests to unlock the faction but cannot get rep from those prequests, if they do give any rep at all. Comment by ClamSmasher88 Hi.
I am unable to receive the quest "Kindness" from Mordenai. I have been trying for about 3 days now and it's getting very frustrating that he does not want me to work towards the Netherwing mount. Could a GM please help me out on this?
Is there anything I have missed? I have been questing in Shadowmoon Valley for almost 2 days now and the "Netherwing Faction" is not even showing up on my reputation tab "in game".
Please help! Comment by Meari As of Legion the best way I found for farming eggs was inside the mines. Once you enter keep going left and follow the left railtrack until you reach the highest area and can see in the other shaft. Jump in there and kill the flayers while all the time looking for eggs. I can't say anything for droprate but this is defintely the place where most mobs are gathered.
I would average one egg about every 5 minutes. I also tried flying over the island looking for eggs but found this to be way less effective.
I didn't really try serverhopping so that might also be an option. Protip: Get Bear Tartare for the mines farming. It's basically serverhopping. However, as you might know, since Legion you can only serverhop if somebody in your group is in the zone you're in, and nobody ever makes groups while being in Shadowmoon Valley. So you're helping yourself or having a friend helping you do it. This is only possible thanks to free lvl trials. You want to make trial characters in a bunch of different realms, bring them to shadowmoon valley and invite your main so you can serverhop and follow a route to get eggs as fast as possible.
What realms? I still don't know exactly which realms are linked. I thought for sure that pve realms wouldn't have mixed phasing with rp realms but no, they do. However, I think pvp realms don't share phasing with pve realms.
I don't know how it is on US servers, but in Europe we have different languages which have their own phasing. If you're burning through realms too fast, try to find a different realm with a different phasing you can check by paying attention whether the mobs around you disappear or not, or you can use a toy like toy train set - it'll stay in the phasing you placed it in for a few minutes. How to bring the character to shadowmoon fast?
I was playing alliance and had the ever-shifting mirror so I got really lucky on this one. If you've got the same setup, simply hearth to your garrison after logging on your character, walk out of your garrison to the nearby outland portal it takes a minute to get there and use the toy to pass through it. This took me 2 minutes for each toon. About the toy if you don't know it, it's a timewalking reward from tbc - if you don't have it you'll need to wait for the next burning crusade timewalking event.
It allows you to pass through portals between outland and draenor, one of which is conveniently placed right in front of the alliance garrison right into shadowmoon valley. Once you've got the character there, how to serverhop? If you've got a friend or another account with legion which is pumping out characters, simply invite your main in a group while being in shadowmoon, that'll make your main serverhop to the inviting character's realm.
The inviting character is free to log out afterwards, your main will stay in the realm's phase but don't leave the group! If you've got another account without legion, it won't be able to create class trials, so its only use will be providing a temporary low-level character that you'll have to carry to shadowmoon through a passenger mount to save the other realm's phasing while you relog from your class trial alt to your main.
So bring a low level alt on your other account to shadowmoon, park it somewhere safe from harm, get your class trial alt to shadowmoon, invite your low level alt, promote it to leader and log your main. Then, your alt will invite your main with the class trial still offline in the group and your main will serverhop. Where to get eggs? Got between 25 and 50 eggs an hour with this method was faster as time went by, knowing egg locations, wasting less time. Got it done in 7 hours with some breaks.
If you run out of realms to suck eggs from, take a break, turn them in use a macro , do the regular quests, start again 1 or 2 hours later, a lot of eggs should've respawned. Do as much DPS as possible on him. He will soon do a new portal, but this time you have nowhere to run. When he as low health he will turn to a big demon, but he is still easy to kill. Now loot the key and lock up the chain around the Karynaku's leg.
Talk to her and you will get a ride on a dragon back to the quest. Take the quest "Ally of the Netherwing". He will bring you to the quest. Complete the quest. Go back to were you started to quest and take the quest "Service of the Illidari". You will get an item "Illidari Service Papers". The dragon will send you to Netherwing Ledge, where you can find the camp. Now accpet the quest "Enter the Taskmaster". Find Taskmaster Varkule Dragonbreath, he is outside.
Now you can do all the daily's. Each daily can only be completed once per day. The daily quest are:. When you do the quest, look for Netherwing Eggs that are spawning on the island. Each egg will give you reputation with Netherwing. Eggs are a great way to quickly become revered.
Mobs in the mine are dropping eggs to, so if you do not want to fly around and search for eggs you just kill so many mobs you can. On the main island, go in to the center and kill mobs that will drop "Fel Glands". When you have 12 Fel Glands, go to Netherwing Ledge. Comment by hellopanda If you buy all the netherdrakes, will it count toward the 50 mount achievement? Comment by how in get it please tell me anything.
Comment by Since WotLK, when u become exalted, is he supposed to continue selling netherdrake or is done? Cuz I went to see him and hey say ''Drakes are my business, -player-. I'm authorized to sell them to our highest ranked officers. Comment by khaltak do yo automaticly get neutral when you have flying skill ?
Comment by do you need a flying mount to get there? Comment by Liberate every time i go to nhetherwing ledge, the dragonmaw orcs are hostile and attack me on sight, what am i doin wrong? Comment by Yusere If u don't want to do all those quests for rep, u can get a priest with u and he can mind control him, and u buy your drake.
I am pretty sure it works. Comment by This is a stupid question because in your question you link to the page that explains the answer. But just to drill it through your stupid head, Netherwing rep does not involve any raids, and takes a couple weeks of dailies to get exalted. You also need Epic Flying to gain rep. Comment by is there only 1 daily to raise ur rep with the netherwing? Thanks to the previous comments I was able to get my last 5 mounts for the mounts achievements.
Comment by why do he attack me? Comment by Deathbang You will need riding to start gaining reputation with Netherwing anyway, so the g should have already been paid for. Comment by iMogwai You're saying that this, something which is already in the game and have been for some time, is the best gift since something which isn't in the game yet?
Comment by Dracomortis Illidan Stormrage: You idiot, that's clearly not a fel orc. Kill them and bring their body to my lair so I can use it as a totally pimpin' wall decoration. Overlord Mor'ghor: You mean he was trolling the whole time? Drake Dealer Hurlunk: Oh hey brah, you wanna buy some drakes? You're like our best member ever. Comment by Just a quick summary of everything: Yes , Drake Dealer Hurlunk is still there and is not part of the Netherwing faction at Shadowmoon Valley.
Instead, he is part of the Dragonmaw Clan which is not a faction. You must be Exalted with the Netherwing faction in order to purchase the Nether Mounts.
If you aren't Exalted he will attack you. It is not possible to Mind Control him to buy the Mounts. I hope everything is already cleared up by now. Comment by Stormwaker Costs a thousand gold to obtain every Nether Drake, receiving one as a gift for aiding the cause of the Netherwing Flight. Worth every bloody copper farmed and minute searching for those eggs like an Easter Bunny on crack!
Comment by Hoticehunter fifth: You will need riding to start gaining reputation with Netherwing anyway, so the g should have already been paid for. Comment by Aerozia I earned 1k gold just from doing the dailies and egg turn ins, so its like the drakes are free with the hard work of questing and such. Comment by cwalsh ok im having a problem.
Comment by UlarnekIronclaw why are there so many comments on this page asking the same exact thing?
